Fortaleza Blanco is tequila at its purest. No time in oak and nothing added, just agave cooked, crushed and distilled the old way. It’s fresh and bright but has real depth, so it’s just as good sipped neat as it is in a top-shelf margarita.
Tastes like: cooked agave, citrus, butter, olive and black pepper, with a touch of vanilla and a long finish.
How to drink it:
- Neat, slightly cool, in a small glass
- Margarita: 50ml Fortaleza Blanco, 25ml Cointreau and 25ml lime juice, shaken with ice
- Tommy’s margarita: 50ml Fortaleza Blanco, 25ml lime juice and 15ml agave syrup, shaken with ice

For the agave nerds
Made in the town of Tequila by Guillermo Erickson Sauza, great-great-grandson of Don Cenobio Sauza. Agave is steam-cooked in small brick ovens, crushed with a two-ton stone tahona, fermented for 3 to 5 days and distilled twice in small copper pot stills. Bottled unaged, with no colouring, sugar or flavourings added.
