We stock Macallan 12 Sherry Oak because it's the name whisky lovers trust for a gift. Matured mainly in sherry-seasoned oak casks, it's rich with dried fruit and spice. It's a classic for good reason, and a gift that always impresses.
Tastes like: dried fruit, ginger, vanilla and wood smoke.
How to drink it:
- Neat: pour 35ml of Macallan 12 into a tumbler, let it sit for a minute, then add a drop of water if you like
- With a few drops of water

For the whisky nerds
- Made by: The Macallan Estate, 485 acres in the heart of Speyside. The spirit comes from the distillery's "curiously small" stills.
- Ageing: At least 12 years in predominantly sherry-seasoned European oak casks. The casks are seasoned with sherry in Spanish bodegas, then shipped to Speyside.
- Colour: Entirely natural colour, with no added caramel.
Why it tastes like this: Sherry-seasoned oak is where the dried fruit, ginger and rich wood come from, and all the colour too.
