We stock Courvoisier VS because it's a little softer and fruitier than Hennessy, and great value. Perfect with ginger ale. It's a good-value cognac for a party, and it mixes really well.
Tastes like: spring fruits, almond, vanilla and light oak.
How to drink it:
- With ginger ale: 50ml Courvoisier VS over ice, topped with ginger ale and a slice of orange
- With cola: 50ml Courvoisier VS over ice, topped with cola and a squeeze of lime
- Sidecar: 50ml Courvoisier VS, 20ml Cointreau and 20ml fresh lemon juice, shaken with ice and strained

For the cognac nerds

- Crus: Bons Bois and Fins Bois, distilled without lees for apple, pear and grapefruit notes, plus Petite Champagne distilled with lees for complexity and length.
- People: Chief Blender Thibaut Hontanx, the house's seventh.
Why it tastes like this: Distilling some wine with its lees and some without is how Courvoisier balances fresh fruit with a longer, rounder finish.
