About Courvoisier XO
Courvoisier is one of the big cognac houses, based in Jarnac on the Charente river. Its XO is blended from eaux-de-vie aged between 11 and 25 years, which is well beyond the ten-year legal minimum for an XO, and it's that long time in oak that gives the crème brûlée richness and candied orange.
Next to Hennessy XO, it's softer and more floral; next to Rémy Martin XO, a little creamier. For most people it's the easiest XO to like, and the best value of the three.
