Single-estate Jamaican overproof from Worthy Park. The craft alternative to Wray.

We stock Rum-Bar because it's 100% pot still from a single estate, which means more fruit and more funk than the big names. Same strength as Wray, more flavour. Rum nerds and Jamaicans both rate it. It's also brilliant in tiki drinks, where its funk and strength cut through all the fruit.

Tastes like: overripe banana, pineapple, molasses and a long, punchy finish.

How to drink it:

  • Rum punch: 25ml Rum-Bar Overproof, 100ml mixed pineapple and orange juice, 15ml lime juice, a dash of grenadine and Angostura bitters, over lots of ice
  • Strong daiquiri: 35ml Rum-Bar Overproof, 25ml lime juice and 20ml sugar syrup, shaken with ice
  • Long and easy: 50ml Rum-Bar Overproof over ice, topped with ginger beer and a wedge of lime

For the rum nerds
  • Made by: Worthy Park Estate, Lluidas Vale, Jamaica. The estate was first patented in 1670, and the Clarke family has run it since 1918, now in its fourth generation.
  • Made from: Molasses from the estate's own sugar mill.
  • Still: A copper pot still with twin retorts, built by Forsyths in Scotland.
  • Age: Unaged.

Why it tastes like this: Pot still rum from a single estate, with nothing in the way: big Jamaican fruit and funk.

Strength note: At 63% ABV this is a mixing rum. Measure it and keep the shots for the brave.
