Make it a rum cocktail

The half-bottle of Wray & Nephew. Same 63% Jamaican classic, easier to carry to the party.
The 35cl is one of our best sellers at the till, and it's the right size for a bowl of punch. Strong, fruity and funky, it's what Jamaicans mean when they say 'white rum'. It's also the perfect size to take to a family gathering or barbecue.
Tastes like: ripe banana, pineapple, molasses and a fiery, peppery finish.
How to drink it:
- Rum punch: 25ml Wray & Nephew, 100ml mixed pineapple and orange juice, 15ml lime juice, a dash of grenadine and Angostura bitters, over lots of ice
- With Ting: 25ml Wray over ice, topped with Ting
- With coconut water: 25ml Wray over ice, topped with coconut water

For the rum nerds
- Made by: J. Wray & Nephew, at the New Yarmouth Distillery in Jamaica.
- Made from: Molasses from crushed Jamaican sugar cane.
- Water: Jamaican limestone-filtered spring water.
- Fermentation: A heritage cultured yeast, passed down through generations.
- Still: Copper pot stills and column stills.
- Age: Unaged.
- Bottling: 63% ABV. Carries the Jamaica Rum Geographical Indication (GI), whose rules don't allow added sugar.
Why it tastes like this: Pot still rum and no time in a barrel keep all the raw, funky fruit of Jamaican rum. At 63%, it's built to carry through ice, juice and a big bowl of punch.
Strength note: As Wray & Nephew say, a little Wray goes a long way. At 63% ABV this is a mixing spirit, not a shot: measure it, add plenty of mixer and ice, and take it slowly.
