Make it a rum cocktail

Appleton's everyday Jamaican rum. Fruity, smooth and made for mixing.
We stock Signature because it's the perfect introduction to Jamaican rum: all the fruit, none of the overproof fire. Great with ginger beer, and a solid base for punch. It's also a great base for a Jamaican rum cake or a Christmas punch, and the price makes it easy to keep in.
Tastes like: orange peel, ripe banana, molasses and light oak.
How to drink it:
- Long and easy: 50ml Appleton Signature over ice, topped with ginger beer and a wedge of lime
- Rum punch: 50ml Appleton Signature, 100ml pineapple juice, 25ml lime juice, a dash of grenadine and a pinch of grated nutmeg, over plenty of ice
- With cola: 50ml Appleton Signature over ice, topped with cola and a squeeze of lime

For the rum nerds
- Made by: Appleton Estate, a single estate in Jamaica's Nassau Valley, St Elizabeth. Distilling there is documented back to 1749.
- Made from: Molasses from sugar cane grown on the estate, which grows more than ten cane varieties.
- Water: Spring water naturally filtered through limestone.
- Fermentation: Molasses, spring water and Appleton's own cultured yeast.
- Still: A blend of rum from 100% copper Forsyth pot stills and column stills.
- Age: Pot and column still rums aged an average of 4 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica.
- People: Master Blender Dr Joy Spence chooses and blends the aged rums.
Why it tastes like this: Pot still rum gives Jamaica its heavy, fruity character, and column rum lightens the blend. Rum ages fast in tropical heat, so every extra year in the Nassau Valley adds more oak, dried fruit and spice.
